Some proposal stories are extra special, and Jeffrey and Austin’s is one I won’t forget. Having visited Australia many times, they were back in Sydney, a city they both know and love.
But this time, Jeffrey had a very special plan...
On a gorgeous spring evening in Sydney, he wanted to surprise Austin with a proposal. It turned out to be an evening neither of them would forget.
There was so much happiness as Austin realised what was happening. It was such a lovely moment to photograph, and I loved seeing the two of them share this experience together in such a beautiful location.
And then came another surprise. After Jeffrey proposed, Austin also went down on one knee and asked Jeffrey to marry him. It was such a special moment to be part of.
What began as Jeffrey's surprise proposal turned into a double proposal, with both of them asking the question on the same evening.
I loved seeing their reactions and the happiness they shared. It was one of those moments that made this particular proposal so special, and I feel very lucky to have been there to capture it.
After their double proposal, we spent some time together capturing portraits around Sydney Harbour.
With the Sydney Opera House in the background, we began with some relaxed photographs of Jeffrey and Austin together. It was lovely to see them enjoying the moment, with the excitement of their proposals still very much in the air.
One of the things I love about photographing couples around Sydney Harbour is the variety of beautiful backdrops, all within a relatively short walk.
We then wandered beside the water, taking in the beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
The evening light was beautiful, and we continued capturing some lovely portraits of the two of them together.
We made our way along the harbour, finding a few different spots for photographs along the way.
We also stopped at Jeffrey Street Wharf, which I thought was a rather lovely coincidence given Jeffrey's name! Of course, I couldn't resist capturing a few photographs of the two of them there.
As the evening drew to a close, we were treated to a gorgeous sunset, with the soft glow of the evening light providing the perfect finishing touch to their photographs. After the excitement of their double proposal, it was lovely to see Jeffrey and Austin simply enjoying being together, taking in the moment and celebrating what had just happened.
The evening light was a lovely way to finish their Sydney proposal photography session. After capturing a few final portraits in the soft evening light, the boys were off to dinner to celebrate.
What a wonderful way to spend an evening in Sydney!
It was such a pleasure to be part of your special evening.
I loved capturing your double proposal and seeing the happiness you shared. I hope you had a wonderful evening celebrating over dinner, and I can’t wait to share the rest of your images with you both.
Thank you for choosing me to capture such a special part of your time in Sydney.
Jeffrey and Austin made their trip to Sydney even more memorable with their double proposal around the harbour. It was a pleasure to be part of such a special evening.
