Fabrizio & Jacquelyn’s Sydney Harbour Engagement Session
Following Fabrizio’s unforgettable surprise proposal at Lady Macquarie’s Chair, we met again the next morning to celebrate his engagement to Jacquelyn with a relaxed photo session around Sydney Harbour.
We started shortly after sunrise, when the light was soft, the harbour was calm and there were fewer people around. It’s one of my favourite times to photograph Sydney, with beautiful views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge and a quieter atmosphere along the waterfront.
Fabrizio and Jacquelyn were still smiling about the proposal, and their excitement carried naturally into the photographs.
A sunrise engagement session by Sydney Harbour
We wandered beside the harbour, stopping at different spots to enjoy the views and capture photographs of the two of them together. The morning light, the water and Sydney’s iconic landmarks gave us a beautiful setting, but it was their connection that made the session special.
There was plenty of laughter, affectionate glances and relaxed moments together. We also made time for a few photographs of Jacquelyn’s engagement ring, a lovely reminder of the surprise Fabrizio had planned the evening before.
Rather than rushing from one location to the next, we took our time and let the session unfold naturally. This gave Fabrizio and Jacquelyn space to enjoy being newly engaged while capturing photographs that reflected their excitement.
Celebrating their engagement in Sydney
One of my favourite things about photographing couples the morning after a proposal is seeing how the excitement continues long after the initial surprise.
For Fabrizio and Jacquelyn, the sunrise session was a chance to take it all in, enjoy the harbour together and create another set of memories from their time in Sydney.
With the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background, their photographs also capture the city as part of their story. The early start was well worth it, giving us beautiful morning light and a more relaxed experience around the waterfront.
