Rob & Rebecca’s Surprise Proposal at Sydney Harbour
A sunset proposal at Lady Macquarie’s Chair
Rob and Rebecca were visiting Sydney from the USA for their first trip to Australia, and Rob had planned a special surprise for their time here. He chose sunset at Lady Macquarie’s Chair, with the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge across the water, as the setting for his proposal.
Rebecca thought they were heading out for a romantic stroll before dinner. I was already in position, ready to discreetly capture the moment as they arrived.
As the sun began to set over Sydney Harbour, Rob got down on one knee and asked Rebecca to marry him. She said yes, and the people nearby who had been watching the sunset began to clap and cheer.
It was such a lovely reaction. For a moment, strangers became part of the celebration, sharing in their excitement as Rob and Rebecca took in what had just happened.
With the harbour, Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge behind them, it was a beautiful setting for a proposal they would always remember.
Celebrating their engagement by Sydney Harbour
After the proposal, we spent some time capturing photographs of Rob and Rebecca together. They were both smiling from ear to ear, and the excitement of the moment was still very much there.
We made the most of the harbour views and the changing evening light, capturing a mix of portraits and natural moments as they celebrated their engagement.
What I loved most was how happy they were together. The photographs weren't just about the famous Sydney landmarks; they captured their reactions, laughter and the excitement of beginning this new chapter together.
