While senior photoshoots aren’t traditionally part of Australian culture, they’re becoming a great way to capture a transitional moment – the farewell to teenage years and the step into early adulthood. A Senior Photoshoot in Sydney offers the perfect mix of iconic backdrops and personal storytelling.
So I was chuffed recently to photograph Felix – 20 years old, soon to be 21. He is mid way through his studies and moving into an exciting new chapter in life. A business student, passionate DJ and lifelong Arsenal fan, Felix brought his own confident, relaxed energy to the photoshoot.
We started the shoot at the Sydney Opera House, capturing clean architectural lines and soft morning light. Despite it being one of the coldest mornings we’ve had in Sydney this winter, Felix showed up with easygoing confidence and a great sense of humour.
Then we wandered near the Harbour Bridge and along the water’s edge – using Sydney’s stunning harbour backdrop to frame Felix’s personality and style. We chatted about life, his DJ gigs and enjoying life – the conversation helped keep our minds off the chill and brought out those relaxed, natural expressions that really show who he is.
This senior-style photo session in Sydney was all about creating something timeless, modern and meaningful. It was about celebrating who Felix is right now – grounded, adventurous and ready for whatever is next in life. Oh and did I mention he also happens to be a pretty awesome human being.
If you or someone you love is coming to the end of high school, turning 21, or simply wants to mark this season of life, a Senior Photoshoot in Sydney is an unforgettable way to do it. With backdrops like the Opera House, sparkling Sydney Harbour, stunning beaches of Sydney - the setting becomes part of your story.
