“Coming from France, I organised a surprise proposal for my girlfriend at Sydney Harbour, but I didn't know the city or its hidden spots. Sarah helped me find the right places at the right time and brought my vision to life - she was a tremendous help throughout planning, reassuring and available by message the whole way. During the proposal, my fiancée didn't even notice Sarah taking pictures. The next morning, we did a Sydney Opera House photoshoot together, and she made us feel completely comfortable even though we're not used to being in front of the camera. The photos are wonderful!.”

"It was a pleasure working with Sarah for our Sydney Opera House family photoshoot. She was responsive and clear leading up to our session, which made planning internationally feel easy. On the day, she brought such warmth - our kids were having an off day, but you'd never guess it from the photos. Beyond the stunning Opera House backdrop, Sarah brought real artistry to every shot. It was our kids' first trip to Australia, and these photos bring us right back - without the long flight."

When is the best time for a Sydney Opera House Shoot?

Early morning is a lovely option as there are generally fewer people around and the light is soft and beautiful, while the hour before sunset offers beautiful warm light across the harbour. The best time will depend on your chosen location, the season and the type of photographs you’re looking for.

I’ll recommend the best time for your session based on the location and light, so you can relax and enjoy the experience without having to work out the logistics yourself.

Is a Sydney Opera House Photoshoot right for you?

A Sydney Opera House photoshoot is perfect if you’re looking for a location that feels both iconic and effortless.

Many of my clients are visiting Sydney for a short time and want a seamless, well-guided experience, while others are locals capturing a special milestone.

Your session includes stunning views of both the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. If you’d like even more variety, there’s the option to add a second location, such as Bondi Beach or a harbour viewpoint at sunset to capture more of Sydney.

If you’re unsure which locations are right for your session, you’re welcome to explore my Sydney beach sessions or get in touch for guidance.

"I was considering several photographers for our Sydney Opera House photoshoot, but I kept coming back to Sarah's work. With four young, wonderfully chaotic kids, I wasn't sure how it would go - but Sarah captured them flawlessly, keeping everyone engaged the whole time. The final images were perfection: iconic, beautiful, and true to our family's personality. If you're considering anyone else, don't - Sarah is truly worth every bit of trust you put in her."
