Magic on a Rainy Day - Ed & Stacy’s Sydney Surprise Proposal

Some photoshoots feel almost too perfectly timed to believe, and Ed & Stacy’s surprise proposal in Sydney was one of them.

Ed reached out from Miami looking for a proposal photographer in Sydney to help him capture the moment he asked Stacy to marry him. After lots of back-and-forth about the unpredictable weather (and whether we should postpone), Ed made the brave decision to go ahead with the proposal - even as the skies opened and Sydney was absolutely pouring.

And then - magic happened.

Just as Ed and Stacy arrived, the rain stopped, the clouds lifted ever so slightly, giving us just enough time to capture the proposal and a beautiful portrait session beside Sydney harbour.

Stacy’s reaction was pure joy, and of course - she said YES! 💍

We strolled beside Sydney harbour and made the most of the calm between storms. Amazingly, the moment we wrapped up and said our goodbyes, the heavens opened again. Rain bucketed down, and by that evening, most of Sydney was flooding.

Looking back, it feels like the universe gave them the perfect window for their engagement. To witness such a personal, emotional moment amidst all that unpredictability was incredibly special.
