It was so lovely meeting Jackie, David and their five-year-old daughter Emma for a family photoshoot around Sydney Harbour. The family had travelled from California to Australia, and their Sydney adventure was about to get even more exciting with a surprise Disney Cruise for Emma.

Jackie and Emma arrived in the sweetest matching pink outfits, with David complementing them perfectly. They looked fabulous against the colours of Sydney Harbour.
A Surprise Disney Cruise
There was an extra element of excitement during this session because Emma didn't know that her family was about to surprise her with a Disney Cruise.
I can only imagine how excited she must have been when they finally told her!
It was lovely knowing that these photographs were capturing the beginning of such a special family adventure, and I think that fun really came through in the images.
A Family Photoshoot Around Sydney Harbour
We started by exploring the harbour together, capturing a mixture of relaxed family photographs and portraits with the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background.
Emma was such a joy to photograph. There was plenty of energy, laughter and playful moments as we walked around the harbour, which made it easy to capture photographs that felt natural rather than overly posed.
I always love having a mix of photographs during a family session. Of course, we want those beautiful portraits of everyone together with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, but I also want to capture the little moments in between: the laughs, cuddles, walking together and the way a family naturally interacts.

With the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background, you'll always have a reminder of where you were and the adventure you shared together.
