Jordan and Jacosta were visiting Sydney from Singapore, and Jordan had been planning his surprise proposal for months. He chose Bradley Head Amphitheatre in Mosman, a beautiful spot overlooking Sydney Harbour, for the moment he would ask Jacosta to marry him.
The evening brought rain, but the weather didn't stop the proposal from going ahead. Instead, the soft, overcast light and the harbour setting gave their photographs a different feel from the typical sunny Sydney afternoon.
Jordan had chosen a lovely location for his proposal. Bradley Head Amphitheatre has beautiful views across Sydney Harbour, with a natural setting that feels tucked away from the busier parts of the city.
Despite the rain, Jordan and Jacosta were able to enjoy the moment together. It was lovely to capture the surprise, their reaction and the excitement that followed as they celebrated their engagement.
After the proposal, we spent some time photographing Jordan and Jacosta around Bradley Head Amphitheatre. The sandstone, surrounding greenery and harbour views offered different backdrops for their portraits.
The rainy evening brought a soft quality to the photographs, while the harbour provided a beautiful setting for this part of their story. We captured relaxed moments together as they took in the views and enjoyed being newly engaged.
I love that their photographs reflect the actual evening, including the weather, rather than trying to make the experience look like something it wasn't. The rain became part of their Sydney proposal story.
