Last weekend, I was lucky enough to photograph a very special surprise proposal in East Balmain for Jeffrey and Catriona.
A Surprise Proposal in Balmain
Jeffrey had secretly arranged for me to be there to capture the moment, while Catriona had absolutely no idea what was about to happen.
Her friends were in on the secret and had suggested an early lunch, so she was completely taken by surprise when she arrived to find Jeffrey waiting for her with a very special question. 💍
Her reaction was priceless - she was genuinely shocked and had no idea the proposal was coming. When Jeffrey got down on one knee, she said yes! It was such a lovely moment to capture, and I loved seeing all their excitement and happiness afterwards.
Once the surprise was revealed, we spent some time around the park capturing photographs of the newly engaged couple. It was such a beautiful setting for the occasion, with the harbour and Bridge providing a stunning Sydney backdrop.
The Proposal at Thornton Park
Jeffrey had chosen Thornton Park in East Balmain as the spot for his proposal, right beside the harbour with a beautiful view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
An Engagement Session at Kirribilli
We met again on Sunday evening for an engagement session in Kirribilli, giving Jeffrey and Catriona some more time to enjoy being newly engaged and capture a few more photographs together.
It was so lovely to see them again, this time with the Sydney Harbour Bridge and harbour as the backdrop. As the sun began to set, the evening light was beautiful, and we captured some relaxed moments of them together around Kirribilli.
