Luca and Daniella travelled to Sydney from Melbourne for a weekend away, but Luca had something extra special planned. After six years together, he had decided it was time to ask Daniella to marry him, and he wanted the moment captured without her suspecting a thing.
He asked me to photograph the proposal at Kirribilli Lookout, a beautiful spot overlooking Sydney Harbour, with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge across the water.
The weather had been rainy earlier in the day, but by the time they arrived, the rain had cleared. With the harbour opening up behind them, Luca went down on one knee and asked Daniella to marry him.
Her reaction said everything. There was laughter, happy tears and plenty of hugs as the surprise unfolded. It was one of those moments where the planning fades into the background and all that matters is the two people standing in front of you.
