Sunset is the most popular choice, with beautiful light and a calm, easy atmosphere. The hour before sunset is especially magical, with soft golden tones and often fewer people on the beach, creating a more relaxed and natural setting.

Sunrise is also beautiful, with gentle, soft light and a peaceful start to the day.

The middle of the day is generally best avoided, especially in summer, when the sun is strong and overhead. This can create harsh light and busier beaches, which takes away from that easy, natural feel.

Think natural tones like whites, creams, beige, soft blues and earthy shades, along with light, breathable textures that move easily in the sea breeze. Most sessions run for around 60 minutes, which allows enough time to settle in, explore the beach, and capture a relaxed mix of candid moments and gently guided portraits. The pace is kept easy and unhurried so everyone - especially children - can feel comfortable and enjoy the experience.

Extended family sessions are more flexible and can be adjusted as needed depending on group size, ages, and how many combinations you’d like to include. This allows time for both larger group portraits and smaller family groupings, ensuring everyone is beautifully included without feeling rushed.

After your session, your images are carefully reviewed and professionally edited. We then meet for an ordering session where a curated slideshow is shared, and you can view your images and choose your favourites.

Once you’ve selected your images, final files are delivered digitally, ready to share or print. You also have the option to order fine art prints, wall art and albums, creating lasting keepsakes from your Sydney beach photoshoot.
